¡Se Tiene Que Ir!

Escritura: Mark 9:21

Ayer vimos una parte de la escritura en Mateo donde Jesús echó fuera un demonio de un joven que estaba siendo atormentado. Jesús dijo: "Este género no saldrá sino con oración y ayuno". Veamos la misma historia en el libro de Marcos porque hay algo muy interesante allí. Jesús le pregunta al padre del joven: "¿Cuánto tiempo ha estado así?" A veces podemos sentirnos cómodos con nuestra "condición". Estoy enfermo, pero siempre he sido así. Lucho con la depresión, pero es parte de mi vida. A veces nos sentimos cómodos porque pensamos que no hay solución. ¡El padre del joven no estaba contento con la condición de su hijo! Estaba tan desesperado que fue a buscar a los discípulos. Quería sanidad para su hijo. ¡A veces tenemos que hartarnos y cansarnos de estar enfermos y cansados! ¡El ayuno y la oración nos dan la autoridad y el poder para decir que toda cosa que no se alinee con la palabra de Dios tiene que huir!

It Must Leave

Scripture: Marcos 9:21

Yesterday we looked at a part of scripture in Matthew where Jesus cast out a demon from a young man who was being tormented. Jesus said, “This kind will not come out but with prayer and fasting.” Let’s look at the same story in the book of Mark because there is something very interesting there. Jesus asks the young man’s father, “How long has he been like this?” Sometimes we can get comfortable with our “condition”. I’m sick, but I’ve always been this way. I struggle with depression, but it’s part of my life. We get comfortable sometimes because we think there is no solution. The young man’s father was not happy with his son’s condition! He was so desperate that he went looking for the disciples. He wanted healing for his son. Sometimes we have to get sick and tired of being sick and tired! Fasting and prayer gives us the authority and power to say that everything that does not line up with the word of God must flee!
